Hahnemühle Photo Matt Fibre Duo 210 is a 210 gsm, natural-white paper with a warm tone and an inkjet coating on both sides. Its 100% alpha-cellulose base and smooth, very lightly textured matte surface suit photographs and image-and-text layouts where both faces of the sheet are part of the finished presentation.

Grain direction and book projects

Short grain runs parallel to the shorter sheet edge; long grain runs parallel to the longer edge. Plan the cut, fold and spine around the grain of the selected sheet. Grain direction and double-sided coating do not establish automatic duplex compatibility. Confirm the binding method and make a small mock-up before producing a complete book.

How does it differ from standard Photo Matt Fibre?

Duo is 210 gsm and coated on both sides. Standard Photo Matt Fibre is 200 gsm and intended for single-sided printing.

Does double-sided coating mean automatic duplex support?

No. Both sides accept inkjet printing, but the printer must support the chosen size, 210 gsm weight and 0.32 mm thickness. Check its second-side loading instructions.

Is it cotton or OBA-free?

It is 100% alpha-cellulose, not cotton. Optical brightener content is very low rather than zero; the natural-white warm tone is part of its appearance.

What should I check before ordering for my printer?

Check the selected format, 210 gsm weight, thickness and loading path against your exact printer. A suitable ink coating does not establish that every size or roll will feed in every model.

Profiles, media settings and handling

For Photo Matt Fibre Duo, match the ICC profile to the exact printer, ink set and paper and follow the profile’s supplied driver media settings. A driver profile does not establish RIP support. Apply colour management once and make a small test print before a full run. Keep fingers away from the printable surface and protect prints from dust and abrasion.
