Why we like it
300 gsm matte inkjet paper for warm-toned photography.
Hahnemühle Sugar Cane combines a 70% sugar cane fibre / 30% cotton base with a natural white shade and a matte finish. Its clearly defined felt structure gives the finished print its surface character. The bagasse fibres are a by-product of sugar cane processing; the paper has no optical brighteners.

Questions before you print
What are the fibres?
The base is 70% sugar cane fibre and 30% cotton. The sugar cane fibre is bagasse, a by-product of processing sugar cane.
Is the surface matte and OBA-free?
Yes. Sugar Cane is a 300 gsm matte inkjet paper without optical brighteners. Its natural-white base is part of the finished appearance.
What should I check before ordering for my printer?
Check the selected format, 300 gsm weight, thickness and loading path against your exact printer. A suitable ink coating does not establish that every size or roll will feed in every model.
Profiles, media settings and handling
For Sugar Cane, match the ICC profile to the exact printer, ink set and paper and follow the profile’s supplied driver media settings. A driver profile does not establish RIP support. Apply colour management once and make a small test print before a full run. Keep fingers away from the printable surface and protect prints from dust and abrasion.
