Hahnemühle Bamboo combines a 90% bamboo fibre / 10% cotton base with a natural white shade and a matte finish. Its soft, lightly textured felt structure gives the finished print its surface character. Its warm paper shade becomes part of highlights and unprinted borders.

The base is 90% bamboo fibre and 10% cotton, with no optical brighteners.

How does Bamboo differ from Bamboo Gloss Baryta?

Bamboo is 290 gsm with a matte coating. Bamboo Gloss Baryta is 305 gsm with a high-gloss baryta surface; the shared bamboo-and-cotton base does not make their coatings interchangeable.

What should I check before ordering for my printer?

Check the selected format, 290 gsm weight, thickness and loading path against your exact printer. A suitable ink coating does not establish that every size or roll will feed in every model.

Profiles, media settings and handling

For Bamboo, match the ICC profile to the exact printer, ink set and paper and follow the profile’s supplied driver media settings. A driver profile does not establish RIP support. Apply colour management once and make a small test print before a full run. Keep fingers away from the printable surface and protect prints from dust and abrasion.
