Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta combines a 100% alpha-cellulose base with a bright white shade and a high-gloss baryta finish. Its clearly visible felt structure gives the finished print its surface character. This is the 325 gsm alpha-cellulose paper, distinct from cotton Photo Rag Baryta and smoother Baryta FB.

Is FineArt Baryta made from cotton?

No. It is 325 gsm and made from 100% alpha-cellulose. Photo Rag Baryta is the separate cotton-based family.

How does it differ from Baryta FB?

FineArt Baryta has a clearly visible felt structure. Baryta FB is 350 gsm with an extra-smooth surface; both have bright-white alpha-cellulose bases and high-gloss finishes.

What should I check before ordering for my printer?

Check the selected format, 325 gsm weight, thickness and loading path against your exact printer. A suitable ink coating does not establish that every size or roll will feed in every model.

Profiles, media settings and handling

For FineArt Baryta, match the ICC profile to the exact printer, ink set and paper and follow the profile’s supplied driver media settings. A driver profile does not establish RIP support. Apply colour management once and make a small test print before a full run. Keep fingers away from the printable surface and protect prints from dust and abrasion.
