Our Expert Opinion

Some like the cotton fibre feel and darkroom resemblance. Honest limitation: surface can have imperfections from cotton seeds, and brighteners fade quickly. We strongly recommend Legacy Platine instead—better longevity and surface quality without drawbacks.

Description

A photographic fine art paper with the look and feel of an air-dried darkroom print.

Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper offers a classic silver halide F-surface presentation with a semigloss photographic finish. Designed for colour and black-and-white printmaking, it is a choice for photographers who want a substantial photographic paper rather than a matte cotton surface. Cut sheets and rolls have different weights, so match the specification to your selected format.

At a glance

  • Classic photographic F-surface character.
  • Semigloss finish for colour and black-and-white images.
  • Cut sheets: 325 gsm and 13 mil.
  • Rolls: 300 gsm and 12 mil, on a 3-inch core.

Where it works well

  • Fine art photographic prints.
  • Black-and-white portfolios and exhibitions.
  • Colour photographs where a darkroom-style surface is preferred.

Questions before you print

Do the sheets and rolls have the same weight?

No. Epson’s guide specifies 325 gsm for cut sheets and 300 gsm for rolls. Check the format as well as the paper name when comparing specifications or checking your printer’s media limits.

Will this paper work with my printer?

Check the exact printer model, supported media thickness and loading method, not just the paper dimensions. Rolls also require the correct roll handling and core support. Tell Tricera your printer model and chosen size if you need help checking suitability.

Which ICC profile and media setting should I use?

Use the settings and ICC profile specified for the exact printer, ink and paper combination. Epson provides profiles through its printer support downloads. Follow the profile instructions and apply colour management only once in your print workflow.

Our hands-down favourite. Widest colour gamut we've tested, most stable paper Epson makes. No optical brighteners, exceptional surface consistency, free of defects. Used by photographers selling gallery work wanting absolute best. Museum quality with incredible colour range.
Top-performing photo paper featuring traditional "orange peel" luster surface of silver halide prints. Professional photographers' favourite. Works with pigment and dye printers. Cut sheet version of Premium Luster 260. Excellent colour accuracy.

We know paper

We regularly test fine art and photographic papers from Epson, Hahnemühle, and Moab to better understand how different media perform with professional inkjet printers and pigment inks. While Tricera specializes in Epson printing systems, the Hahnemühle and Moab papers we carry are designed for use with any professional pigment inkjet printer, including Canon and HP, making them a strong option for photographers, print studios and production environments across Canada regardless of which printer brand they use.

That allows us to offer practical guidance based on actual use, including media selection, print application and workflow considerations.
