Hahnemühle Hemp combines a 60% hemp fibre / 40% cotton base with a white shade and a matte finish. Its lightly textured felt structure gives the finished print its surface character. The hemp and cotton base is white without optical brighteners.

What is the fibre mixture?

Hemp is made from 60% hemp fibre and 40% cotton.

Is Hemp the same as Hemp Gloss Baryta?

No. Hemp is the 290 gsm matte paper. Hemp Gloss Baryta is the 305 gsm version with a high-gloss baryta coating.

What should I check before ordering for my printer?

Check the selected format, 290 gsm weight, thickness and loading path against your exact printer. A suitable ink coating does not establish that every size or roll will feed in every model.

Profiles, media settings and handling

For Hemp, match the ICC profile to the exact printer, ink set and paper and follow the profile’s supplied driver media settings. A driver profile does not establish RIP support. Apply colour management once and make a small test print before a full run. Keep fingers away from the printable surface and protect prints from dust and abrasion.
