Our Expert Opinion

True museum quality—100% cotton, no optical brighteners. Base tint between Hot Press Bright and Natural, white as possible without OBAs. Smooth matte with excellent detail and tonal transitions. Archival prints lasting generations.

Description

An OBA-free cotton paper with a matte finish for photographs and fine art reproductions.

Epson Legacy Fibre offers a 100% cotton base with a matte coating and a natural-white character. Its restrained surface texture keeps the emphasis on the image, while Epson’s microporous ink-receptive coating supports rich blacks, a wide colour gamut and smooth tonal transitions. Choose it when you want the feel of a substantial cotton paper without the sheen of a satin or glossy photographic surface.

At a glance

  • Matte surface with a restrained, semi-smooth texture.
  • 100% cotton, without optical brightening agents.
  • 314 gsm weight and 19 mil thickness.
  • Acid- and lignin-free; pH buffered.

Where it works well

  • Fine art photography with a matte presentation.
  • Artwork reproductions where a restrained texture is preferred.
  • Portfolios and exhibition prints on cotton paper.

Questions before you print

How does Fibre differ from Etching and Textured?

Fibre has the more restrained surface. Legacy Etching introduces a subtle etching-paper texture, while Legacy Textured has a more pronounced watercolour-paper texture. Choose the amount of visible texture that suits your image.

Will this paper work with my printer?

Check the exact printer model, supported media thickness and loading method, not just the paper dimensions. Rolls also require the correct roll handling and core support. Tell Tricera your printer model and chosen size if you need help checking suitability.

Which ICC profile and media setting should I use?

Use the settings and ICC profile specified for the exact printer, ink and paper combination. Epson provides profiles through its printer support downloads. Follow the profile instructions and apply colour management only once in your print workflow.

Does archival paper guarantee a particular print life?

No. Print life depends on the ink and paper combination, lighting, display, handling and storage. Follow Epson’s media guidance and protect finished prints from surface damage. A general paper specification is not a print-life guarantee for every printing system.

Our Expert Opinion
True museum quality—100% cotton, no optical brighteners. Base tint between Hot Press Bright and Natural, white as possible without OBAs. Smooth matte with excellent detail and tonal transitions. Archival prints lasting generations.
Texture pattern more random than Cold Press—handmade but refined feel. Traditional watercolour aesthetic. No optical brightening agents, ideal for archival prints with colour stability lasting generations. Truly museum quality. Long-term stability without compromise.
Same benefits as Hot Press Bright—excellent weight, smooth surface, strong blacks. Difference is the warmer natural white base, giving less contrast. For smooth fine art with warmer tone. For maximum contrast, choose Bright.

We know paper

We regularly test fine art and photographic papers from Epson, Hahnemühle, and Moab to better understand how different media perform with professional inkjet printers and pigment inks. While Tricera specializes in Epson printing systems, the Hahnemühle and Moab papers we carry are designed for use with any professional pigment inkjet printer, including Canon and HP, making them a strong option for photographers, print studios and production environments across Canada regardless of which printer brand they use.

Authorized Epson Pro Graphics Dealer in Canada

Tricera is a Canadian-owned authorized Epson Pro Graphics dealer specializing in Epson professional printers, genuine Epson inks, and a curated selection of fine art and photographic papers from Epson, Hahnemühle, and Moab. We work with print labs, universities, photographers, galleries and creative studios across Canada that depend on professional printing systems for reliable, high-quality output.

With more than 20 years of hands-on experience working with Epson Pro Graphics equipment, we do more than list specifications. We actively work with Epson printers and test many of the papers we sell in real production environments. That allows us to offer practical guidance based on actual use, including media selection, print application and workflow considerations.

Orders ship from Canadian warehouses, helping customers across Canada get product faster while avoiding cross-border delays, duties and exchange-related surprises. Canadian customers also benefit from full Epson Canada warranty support.
